Councilperson, At-Large C

On November 7, 2023, I was re-elected by the citizens of the City of Burlington to serve as Councilman At-Large, and was sworn in on Jan. 2, 2024 to serve a four-year term that expires on Dec. 31, 2027. As Councilperson At-Large, I represent the interests of all City residents.

I will be serving Burlington for 4 years, January 1, 2024 - December 31, 2027

Duties

Council members perform all appropriate functions with respect to City legislation, including:
  • Preparation of Municipal Budget
  • Writing and Passage of Ordinances to govern the City
  • Voicing concerns and complaints of constituents (City residents)
  • Represent citizens while solving problems and planning for the future

Communication

  • Served as President of Main Street Burlington 2019 to 2022, executing direct grants to businesses during COVID 19, as well as various placemaking projects around the downtown.
  • Also served as Neighborhood Preservation Program Grant Coordinator from 2019 to 2022, executing many projects that benefitted city businesses and residents alike.
  • Created and served as Market Manager of the Burlington City Farmers Market 2020 to 2022.
  • Former volunteer for the Burlington City Garden Club.

Education

Associates degree from Essex County College in Business Administration

Employment

Career Restaurant/Hospitality Manager, with a focus on opening new businesses. I have opened eight (8) restaurants over the years, serving in roles such as General Manager and Food & Beverage Director. This experience has given me insight into the challenges faced by entrepreneurs starting new businesses, on both large- and small-scale projects.
