Councilman, Ward 4

Appointed on October 1, 2024 and sworn in on October 8, 2024 by the Common Council to represent the residents of the City of Burlington, I will serve for a portion of an unexpired term. As the Councilmember of Ward 4, I represent the interest of the City residents of Voting Ward 4 [See Voting Wards], the area commonly referred to as Farnerville, East Farnerville, and part of Mehlville.

I will be serving Burlington October 1, 2024 - December 31, 2025.

Duties

Council members perform all appropriate functions with respect to City legislation, including:
  • Preparation of Municipal Budget
  • Writing and Passage of Ordinances to govern the City
  • Voicing concerns and complaints of constituents (City Ward 4 residents)
  • Serving as liaison to Council-appointed boards

Community

Burlington City Police Chaplain, Sponsor of the Burlington City Brotherhood Black Family Heritage Day; Chairman of the Board of the Minority Clergy Council and Fellowship of Churches of Mt. Holly and Vicinity and Past President of The Rancocas Valley Clergy Association. Philanthropist of scholarships and sponsorships to our local community, schools and organizations

Resides with wife, Dawn, in the City of Burlington. Descendant of Oliver Cromwell.

Mercer County College, Shaw University, Raleigh N.C. Apex School of Theology of Durham, NC: Business Science Degree in Mortuary Science, Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies, Doctor of Divinity
